I purchased these headphones for work to shut out the noise from some of the adjacent cubicles. They stick out a complete 2 inches from your ears. One "con" is the fact that these headphones are very big, as in measure about 2" out from your face and that is how far these stand out. Cant wait to use them with an approaching red eye flight, I may use these headphones all day long without getting drained so I suggest them. They compare with designs $100 to $200 more, so I would extremely recommend! So I can't complain and neither can you. I am a girl with long hair, and my hair doesn't get caught on anything and that is an enormous plus to me too.
Nearly forgot to say, the Sennheiser HD201 is missing on the bass.
And don't think these provide great bass response.
Music sounds great though. These infrared wireless headphones are the most useful I ever had. They're comfortable and sound great on my small computer, my music player, and my tablet. While they are comfortable and produce decent sound, they're made from cheap plastics and are not well worth the money if you don't like hearing squeaking, creaking and cracking noises from the plastic parts each time you move your face. These headphones are huge with a huge cable. It's also great for such things as films and online lectures.
Noisy (obviously, I've had these for more than a year so that is to be anticipated). I must use them with a rag of shirt on top of my head for padding since the excess weight of the headphones causes straps to cut into my scalp, really miserable. These headphones have an extra long cord (description says 3.3 feet but mine came with 11 feet). N disappointed with the quality of sound, specifically for the cost. The foam padding is extremely comfortable and I often put them on to sleep, seeing how the stop external noise quite well. The sound is remarkably great for such an affordable set of headphones. There is not much distinction between these and my Sennheiser 555 was a gift. They are not portable whatsoever, but overall excellent for the cost and they are excellent headphones. Odds are your Music player or PC sound card will run out of energy before these run out of bass handling capability.
The bass is extremely light, you can barely feel it if you aren't listening to rock songs. Overall, however, I'm enjoying them immensely. It is like something is going on behind you.
